One of the features people look for in a range cooker is a wok burner - a powerful double or triple ring gas burner which is great for getting large pans of water boiling, or more particularly for getting a good stir-fry sizzling hot when cooking with a wok. Most woks are flat-bottomed and fairly stable, but it is occasionally useful to have some extra support when frying larger amounts or preparing a Thai curry, for example.
