New Mercury Models - Sneak Preview
19/03/10 Filed in: New Products
COMING SOON! Stylish and prestigious are two words synonymous with the Mercury brand, and this weekend sees the long-awaited launch of new Mercury range cooker models from Aga-Rangmaster, the new owners of this aspirational brand, at the KBB exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham. We have obtained some early images, and it seems the familiar and well-loved Mercury look is definitely retained, albeit now built onto the platform shared by Rangemaster and Falcon range cookers. Gone are the previous cattle-grid style pan supports in favour of Falcon-style castings (which may not look as distinctive but should be easier to clean), and the previously huge main oven layout now follows the still generous capacities of the established Rangemaster/Falcon chassis. The old storage drawer has also gone.
Details have yet to be confirmed, but we believe there will be four widths available (90, 100, 110 and 120cm), in dual fuel and all-electric formats including, we assume, an induction option or two. Plenty to keep admirers of Mercury range cookers very happy, it seems.
We hope to see the full model range at the KBB show, which runs from 21st to 24 March, and will publish details and make the products available as soon as we can.

The new Mercury hotplate uses the same hob castings as its Falcon cousin.
