Stoves Rotostar Ovens Discontinued
Liverpool-based brand Stoves have announced that their unique and high-spec Rotostar built-in gas ovens are to be discontinued. The only fanned gas oven on the market, Stoves Rotostar technology was a long time in development and won much acclaim when it was launched in late 1990’s, but its high price tag has made Rotostar too much of a discerning choice in these hard times, and its sometimes problematic production has finally come to an end.
Available in three formats, as the Stoves 600GR single oven, 700GR built-under and 900GR double oven (some stocks still available), the Rotostar gas oven will doubtless be missed, but its demise will hopefully free up some production space for some new products from Stoves. The highly popular and visually identical standard gas ovens (Stoves 600GT, 700GDOT available April 2010 and 900GDOT) have been updated to include full flame safety features, and will continue as Stoves’ flagship format for gas ovens.

As a manufacturer, the GDHA group (Stoves, Belling, New World) continue to dominate the UK market when it comes to gas ovens, accounting for around 80% of the models sold.
