Induction Technology Explained

Induction Magnet Logo
Induction technology has been used in professional kitchens for many years, but is relatively new to the domestic scene. The first brand to introduce induction to range cooking was the always-innovative Stoves, who launched their Sterling 1100E model in 2007.

Although the first on the market, only four of the Sterling’s six cooking zones are induction-based and now the competition is catching up, with Falcon, Rangemaster and Bertazzoni’s new five induction-zone models, and now Britannia have entered the scene with six-zone induction models (available here imminently) ... Rangemaster Replace 120 Hoods with 110cm

Rangemaster Hoods
Rangemaster have for a long time matched 120cm wide hoods with their mainstream 110cm range cookers, often catching customers unawares when planning a new kitchen layout. They are now sensibly phasing out the 120cm hoods in favour of new 110cm models in both standard (non-railed) and Classic (railed) styles.

The previous 120cm models will be available until current stocks run out.

Rangemaster's Chic New Colours

Rangemaster Latte Rose Taupe
July sees the arrival of two intriguingly diferent new colours from the range cooker market leader, Rangemaster. Carefully chosen and researched, the new colours are designed to complement the latest dramatic wood grain finishes currently in vogue, such as walnut or dark oak, and demonstrate to the style-concious consumer that a traditional Rangemaster is not just perfect for the traditional kitchen, but can also work well in a more contemporary environment.

The new colours are available on Elan and Classic Deluxe models, in both 90 and 110cm widths, and will differ from the normal models in having the control panels coloured rather than in the conventional Black. The new models are available to order NOW ... Full story ...

Rangemaster Toledo "Which" Best Buy

Rangemaster Toledo
Worthy of a fresh mention, in last year’s Which? survey of 20 top-brand dual fuel range cookers, Rangemaster’s Toledo 110 emerged with the top score, and was awarded a prestigious Which? Best Buy accreditation. With Which?’s usual thoroughness the survey compared performance and accuracy of ovens, evenness of grills, ease of cleaning and overall build quality.

The stylish Toledo’s traditional layout and sharp styling are available in a pleasing array of enamel finishes - Silver, Gloss Black, Gunmetal Grey and Champagne - in addition to Stainless Steel, with either chrome or satin chrome details. A model with a more contemporary, symmetrical oven layout - the Toledo XT - is also available, along with the Toledo FS “Freestyle” built-in range and hob, launched last year ... Full story ...

Last Orders for Rangemaster's Rich Claret

Rangemaster Cranberry
Rangemaster are one of the very few manufacturers still making range cookers in red, but are due to replace their long-running Rich Claret colour with the very similar but actually rather nicer Cranberry.

From 30 May they will no longer be accepting orders for Rich Claret, a move driven by the need to rationalise production, as Cranberry is a colour already doing well for the AGA Group's sister brand, Falcon.

Cranberry will be available on Classic 90 & 110 and Classic Deluxe 90 & 110 products. There is no current plan to replace Rich Claret on Rangemaster 90 & 110 models, so it seems there will not be a red finish available for these products, but we will monitor and this announce this should it happen.
