Beat the January Price Increases on Leading Range Cooker Brands
05/12/11 Filed in: Price Increases
Don’t wait until January, December is the time to order your new range cooker - even if you don’t need it for a while. Some manufacturers have already raised prices but some of the leading UK brands, having held back for as long as they can, will be applying price rises from 1st January 2012. Not great timing from a retailer’s point of view, and as everybody will be in the same position consumers may find that the expected January bargains are thin on the ground this year as retailers already working on ultra-slim margins have no choice but to put prices up in line with the changes, and this includes Rangecookers.co.uk...

Stoves Upgrades to Full Induction and New 100cm Ranges
29/11/11 Filed in: Industry News
Stoves were the first to market with an induction range cooker, and cleverly made the introduction easier and more affordable by building the hotplate as a hybrid utilising four induction zones, two radiant zones and a warming zone. This approach proved a great success with consumers, but since then the rest of the range cooker market has caught up, and rival brands now have induction ranges with five or six induction zones. Moving with the times, Stoves has now replaced the former Richmond and Sterling 1100E models with new Stoves Richmond 1100ei and Stoves Sterling 1100ei models which feature an all-new five zone induction hob...

Stoves Richmond Colour Boutique - Always in Season
29/11/11 Filed in: New Colours
The Stoves Richmond has always attracted attention from those looking for a smart, traditional range cooker for the modern home. In 90cm, 100cm and 110cm widths, and gas, dual fuel and induction formats, the Richmond can often steal the limelight from more expensive rivals through sheer style, not to mention the features and solid build quality on offer. Now available in special “Colour Boutique” finishes, the appeal of the Richmond should reach even further to those with tastes beyond the standard Champagne (cream) or Black...

Ultra-modern Cooking with a White Range Cooker
08/11/11 Filed in: Colours
White range cookers have been a discerning choice for many years, but are enjoying a resurgence in popularity as consumers veer towards high-gloss ultra-modern kitchens but wish to retain the impact a range cooker brings. In recent years, white products have acquired a utopian, futuristic persona associated with leading-edge product design from brands like Apple, and this works particularly well in the minimalist, functional but prestigious spaces many consumers and designers are creating in the kitchen...

"Colour Boutique" Coming Soon for Stoves and Belling Range Cookers
01/09/11 Filed in: New Colours
Coming to Rangecookers.co.uk in OCTOBER: Colour is a very personal thing, and when it comes to range cookers there are not many opportunities to express one’s personality. Up to now, consumers could choose from the range of traditional colours on offer with Aga Rangemaster products, or from the more vivid selection in the Stoves “Flavours” range, but only on one particular model. This is all due to change with the arrival of Colour Boutique for ALL Belling Classic and Stoves Richmond range cookers, which opens up a whole spectrum of opportunities for self-expression in the kitchen through the medium of colour...See the Full Story...
Stoves Back Universal Made in Britain Logo
23/08/11 Filed in: Marketing Campaigns
There is much goodwill towards buying British, and consumers we speak to are often keen to know they are supporting UK manufacturers through their product choices. In fact, recent research shows that 67% of UK consumers would like to see an official seal of approval to highlight which products are made here in Britain, which earlier this year prompted cooker manufacturer Stoves to launch a national competition amongst UK universities and design schools to come up with a suitable standard design to make identifying 100% British products easier...See the Full Story...
Stoves iPhone App - Wild About Jam
16/08/11 Filed in: Media Focus
Continuing their involvement with the Women’s institute, and their sponsorship of the WI Real Jam Festival, innovative cooker brand Stoves have launched a very intriguing new App for the iPhone or iPad, which allows jam enthusiasts everywhere to easily identify wild flowers, fruits and berries in the name of highly creative jam-making. A great idea, and sweet-toothed foragers can search by photograph or plant name, or simply follow an existing recipe (gooseberry and elderflower, yum)....

Energy Saving Trust Recommends...
19/07/11 Filed in: Energy Saving
The Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation providing free and impartial advice on how to avoid wasting energy, and as part of its activities runs a recommendation scheme designed to help consumers choose products which meet the Trust's strict criteria, saving money and helping the environment. Cooker manufacturers are obviously keen to cooperate and gain some early ground, and the first of these to make it onto the list by acquiring certification was Rangemaster, who were quick to run a celebratory advertising campaign with the slogan "You could look at other range cookers but why waste your energy?”...See the Full Story...

Stoves Sterling 600 Now Available
08/06/11 Filed in: New Products | Freestanding Cookers
The Stoves Sterling has been doing, well, sterling work for the Liverpool-based brand since its launch in 2007, and the sharp detailing and impressive specification of the Sterling 1000 and 1100 range cookers seem to have hit exactly the right note with customers looking for an ultra-contemporary cooker from a solid and reliable British brand. Broadening the Sterling offering makes very good commercial sense, and following the launch of the Stoves Sterling 900DFT and 900E in 2010, Stoves have now launched it as a freestanding cooker in the form of the Stoves Sterling 600...

New Stoves Range Collection Brochure
18/01/11 Filed in: Brochures
Stoves have launched a rather nice new Range Cooker Collection brochure, their first brochure dedicated entirely to Stoves range cookers. Previously, ranges have been bundled into the main Stoves brochure and rather poorly presented, so it is good to see these more spacious products given the printing space they deserve. The indulgent brochure is elegantly laid out, with large, clear product images and some great kitchen-set shots to show the various Stoves Richmond and Stoves Sterling models in a variety of settings.

New Stoves Gas Ovens
Stoves gas ovens have always been a popular choice, and Stoves is certainly the leading brand when it comes to the limited gas built-in market. Small though it may be compared to electric ovens, the market for gas ovens is nonetheless a very strong niche which has been very well served by the Stoves line-up to date. This is now to be replaced by new models which follow the aesthetic of the new British-built Stoves built-in range, similar in look to the previous, Italian-built Stoves Accolade range...

Stoves Built-in Ovens - 2010 Collection
30/09/10 Filed in: New Products | Product Deletions
Stoves have built their reputation in built-in cooking, and their passion and technological expertise continues to make its mark. Their Stoves Accolade range, launched in 2008, never really took off the way it should have given its specification and sophisticated look, and their decision to have it built by a continental partner was perhaps regrettable. Learning from this experience, Stoves have re-launched their built-in offering for 2010 and the results are very appealing indeed...

GDHA, manufacturer of Stoves, Belling and New World appliances, is currently experiencing some production delays due to some essential roof repairs to its factory in Liverpool. The busy factory would usually be ramping-up production for the busy final quarter of the year, but is being hampered by having to shut down areas where the repairs are taking place.
Despite the problem, production is expected to return to normal by mid-October, but some customers could experience longer delivery lead-times as a result.See the Full Story...

Original Stoves Sterling - Order Now While Stock Last!
08/09/10 Filed in: Product Deletions
With the imminent arrival of the new Stoves Sterling 1000DFT and 1100DFT (see News article HERE) it is the end of the road for the current format, as the additional grill compartment on the DFT models seems to be what most UK customers desire in a range cooker. There may well be a strong core of customers who prefer the original symmetrical layout, however, and if that includes you we advise that you order NOW while production is still going, as the new models will be taking over in October...

The Stoves Sterling has been around for a few years, but still looks fresh and sharp. However, it seems many would prefer the Sterling to follow the more traditional British layout and have a separate grill compartment, and the designers at Stoves have come up with a new version which should keep everybody happy...
