| The following new products
have either just been launched or will be available within the next
couple of months. We will add them to the shopping area as soon as
prices are announced, but in the meantime we hope the information below
will whet your appetite! |

| XG 110 Ranges |
| |
| What's New?: Britannia's quality
has never been in dispute, but now it can be enjoyed by people
with a 110cm space in their kitchen. Previously, only 90, 100,
120 and 150cm widths have been available. |
| |
What we think: A
great step for Britannia, as they can now literally fill the
gap in the highly popular 110cm replacement cooker market. The
specs are the same as the XG 100 models, but we think the extra
width does add a certain something to the look and feel. Available
in Sigma, Classic and (our favourite, as shown) Dynasty guises,

| Richmond 1100E |
| |
| What's New?: With a six-burner
ceramic hotplate featuring four induction burners, plus a warming
zone, the 1100E retains the four ovens (multifunction,
fanned, conventional and slow-cook) of its sister products. Available
in Champagne or Black. |
| |
What we think: An
attractive and well-engineered range cooker, the feature-packed
Richmond is a very serious contender in any of the fuel configurations
on offer. The addition of an induction-based ceramic hotplate
will make it highly appealing to those seeking an all-electric
range with the quality and the reassurance of a trusted brand.

| Elite SE |
| |
| What's New?: A fresh look for the excellent Elite range, the
Special Edition model has retro-style chrome door handles with black
and chrome control knobs and badge. Control graphics have also been
enhanced. For the purists, the existing model will be available
until the end of the year. |
| |
What we think: We
have always rated the Elite highly for its quality and sophistication,
but recognise that its hi-tech looks were perhaps rather austere
for some. Its revised look and pricing (which also promises to be
more accessible) should broaden its appeal and see it setting-off
many more kitchens beautifully!

 |
| Professional+ 110 & 90 |
| |
| What's New?: The
new Professional Plus loses the towel-rail and short handles of
its more serious-looking predecessor in favour of crisp and contemporary
long handles and knobs in chrome. A new one-piece hotplate (no
grime-trap seams or warming zone), a glide-out grill, and a revised
control panel and clock bring things bang up to date. Available
in dual fuel and all-electric versions. All-gas and electric
models will be available to order from November. |
| |
What
we think: The
Professional has long been a favourite with those seeking
a more purposeful-looking range, and the revised version loses
some this quality together with, perhaps sadly, the option
for solid doors and an all-gas model. That said, it does look
stunning in both widths and the revised hotplate is a refreshing
development adding strength to its doubtless broader appeal.
*Production latest*

 |
| 1092 Deluxe Induction |
| |
| What's New?: Falcon
have combined the power and efficiency of induction cooking with
their already impressive 1092 Deluxe range, and the result speaks
for itself. Five induction zones (1 x 1.4kW, 3 x 2.5kW, 1 x 3.2kW),
all with Boost facility for ultra-fast boiling make this the only
all-induction range on the market. |
| |
What
we think: With
Power Boost, Automatic Heat-up and Pan and Boil-dry Detection
functions to name a few, the new hob sets a new standard in range
cooking and should prove a winner. The Deluxe boasts multifunction
and fanned ovens, and a sturdy roll-out grill.

| CKR 1092 |
| |
| What's New?: Falcon's heritage
as a manufacturer of commercial cookers is often forgotten, but
the dual fuel CKR is a serious return to form, and is available
in windowed or solid door versions in stainless steel only. Features
include multifunction oven, roll-out grill, cook & clean linings
and flame failure devices. |
| |
| What we think: We
like the CKR a lot, and think its chunky and attractive design
should go down well with the serious cook looking for a stylish
but very functional range cooker. |

 |
| Ice White |
| |
| What's New?: A new colour,
featuring on Continental, 1092 Deluxe and 900 Deluxe models, in
addition to the Super Extract hood and new Contemporary hood. |
| |
| What we think: Before
the advent of the iPod, White had become something of a
niche area for range cookers, with only Rangemaster still supplying
products, albeit in a very traditional format. Falcon have recognised
that there are many customers looking to make a more contemporary
statement, and these models look set to create some excitement. |
