A review after 2 years of use
I've had this range for 2 years now and thought it would be useful to review it for anyone thinking of buying one.
So often you see people leaving reviews for things they've only just bought which means you've not really had enough time to know how the thing behaves on a day to day basis. So here's a review from a keen home cook who has had plenty of chances to get to know the good things and bad!
We bought our Rangemaster Professional Deluxe 100 after seeing Rangemaster at the Grand Designs Home Show or the Ideal Home Show (or one of those industry events that show lots of amazing stuff that generally you can't afford). It was still more than we were planning to spend but we're glad we did. They held the item in stock for us until we had finished the building works and then delivered it no problem. Happy days.
The Layout - the main reason we bought this oven is the way it's set out. 5 rings, main oven, stacker oven and grill. 100cm is a perfect size for a medium kitchen as well - more space than you're average oven but not as imposing as the full-on ranges you can get.
It's been amazing when cooking for large numbers due to the two ovens - especially at christmas where you can cook the bird in the main oven and multiple trays of veg in the stacker oven. Highly recommended on this front.
There are really only 2 gripes that you'll be interested in:
1) The grill is below par. You have heat settings from 1 to 3. Everything up until 2.5 is essentially only warming the food - possibly useful if you need to keep something warm? Set to 3 and it's like cooking bacon on the surface of the sun. I am perhaps overstating this because in fact I can cook bacon perfectly well by checking on it every minute or so and pulling the grill out when it gets too hot - but still bit annoying for the price of the thing.
2) After 2 years of use the tall oven has developed a rattly fan. It's intermittent but when it happens it is annoying. The tall oven has only had light use so it is a bit disappointing but I've read a few blogs and apparently replacing the fan is fairly simple.
All in all we're happy with the range. Would recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Since buying your range the model has received a number of updates. Rangemaster has increased the size of their ovens, improved efficiency and changed how the shelves go into the main ovens. In 2017 the Rangemaster Professional Deluxe also received an upgrade to the glide-out grill. A Deluxe Glide-out grill is now supplied as standard - which has four height positions rather than two.
