Get Your Great British Bake On!

We’re not ashamed to say that we are super excited that The BBC’s Great British Bake Off is well and truly back in full swing!

Each year the show captures our hearts (and appetites), along with the rest of the nation as we watch the 12 contestants battle it out to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry.

So as this year’s amateur bakers learn to master their ovens as they’re faced with variety of increasingly difficult challenges - from perfecting their pastry skills to creating show-stopping bakes that will leave Mel and Sue speechless – we encourage you to get involved too.

Rangecookers.co.uk has taken inspiration from the #GBBO and compiled some of its best baking challenges to test your cookery skills… so take to your ovens and let’s get ready to crumble!

Sourdough Loaf

Sourdough bread is made using its own starter, a mix of flour and water that’s left to ferment, so it doesn’t actually contain any yeast, making it more easily digestible. It’s the perfect rustic loaf for dunking into a bowl of creamy soup, or making authentic Italian bruschetta.
