Electric range cookers combine electric ovens - usually fanned or multifunction, or a combination of the two - with either ceramic or induction hobs. They are ideal for properties without a mains gas supply, and contemporary models will easily match their gas counterparts in terms of cooking power and responsiveness.
Generally electric cookers are considered more efficient to use than gas cookers, especially true in the case of models with induction hobs, although they do require a greater electrical supply than other fuel types. This is typically a 45amp fused cooker box, but this can be up to 60amp depending on the model.
