The History of Novy
Novy was founded in Belgium in 1907 by cyclist Hilaire Lannoy, evolving from a bicycle and motorcycle company into a leading European specialist in premium kitchen ventilation and hobs. In 1965, Novy entered the cooker hood market, as fitted kitchens became more common across Europe. In the 1970s and 1980s, Novy responded by developing built-in cooker hoods designed to sit discreetly within cabinetry.
Craftsmanship and innovation are Novy's drivers: from the start, the highest requirements were set in the fields of design, ease of use, sustainability and silence. One of Novy's most significant technical developments was its peripheral extraction system, introduced to improve capture efficiency and reduce noise by drawing in air around the perimeter of the extraction surface rather than only through a central filter. This becomes a defining feature of the brand and remains central to its product design today.
Today, Novy has grown into a leading European brand in kitchen ventilation and it has constructed a range of products that offer solutions for every type of kitchen.
In 2021, Novy became part of the Middleby Corporation. Middleby is a world leader in commercial and residential kitchen appliances. Headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, with their UK base in Wigan, the company has a wide product range including many for cooking and beverage service. Their premium residential appliances include the brands AGA, Rangemaster and La Cornue.
Novy hobs are inspired by the trend for open plan living and the need to optimise your full kitchen space. Their induction hobs offer control, refinement and freedom.
The collection offers everything from vented induction hobs with specialised extraction systems to high-tech induction hobs that allow you to control your cooker hood at the touch of a button. You can also choose specially designed options for both teppanyaki and wok cooking.
What is a Novy vented induction hob?
This is a state-of-the-art induction hob combined with a worktop extraction system, which can rise on some models to capture fumes immediately at the source. It is concealed back within the surface after use, for a unique cooking experience without disturbing the visual elements of your kitchen.
The specialised ventilation tower of the Novy products can ascend from the induction hob, capturing odours and fumes directly as they rise. Options for extraction include removal to the outside or recirculation with the addition of a recirculation box.

The Products
Novy Easy is equipped with user-friendly touch controls or manual controls with rotary knobs. The extraction system is completely concealed in the induction hob, leaving only the discreet grille visible.
In addition to the elegant, glossy version, the Novy Easy is also available in this matte version. This induction hob with integrated extractor is finished in stylish matte glass for a contemporary, sleek look.
This 65cm venting hob brings a compact build, making it perfect for installation in 60cm kitchen cabinets. With an integrated, quiet motor, and optimised airflow due to the elegant finish, this model provides a pleasant cooking experience. It includes a long-life monoblock carbon filter lasting up to 450 cooking hours.
The induction cooktop offers two rectangular and two round cooking zones, with useful functions making it ideal for busy kitchens. The bridging functionality allows the two zones on the left to be connected together to create a flexzone, allowing you to place your pans anywhere within the zones and also for the use of a griddle. There are also functions such as automatic pan detection, super power function and keep warm.
The Power range offers high-performing induction with flex zones and numerous extra features.
This 100cm induction hob features two octagonal zones, with two round zones sitting alongside these in a side-by-side configuration for a slim design. This offers even more cooking surface and extensive cooking programs such as one automatic flexzone and keep warm function. Each octagonal zone has a maximum power of 3000W and 2100W per round zone. Timers are also included, with a minute minder, timer per zone and automatic cooking available.
This hob comes equipped with Novy's InTouch function, meaning it is compatible with all Novy cooker hoods that use a remote control module. With this you have the option to control your hood using the red slider/touch controls on the hob. Maximum safety is also a priority, with the child lock function stopping any little fingers from turning the hob on.
The Novy Up combines a modular hob with an integrated extractor. The flexibility of the Novy Up lets you design your hob exactly the way you like, with a choice of various cooking setups. Additional hob elements can be added to give you even more cooking zones, with the extraction tower disappearing between domino hobs.
The extractor of this 87cm model is made from black, lacquered material and can be fully removed for a quick clean in the dishwasher. You only need to extend the tower whilst you are cooking, with it rising smoothly with just a touch. You can manually extend the tower for pots but for pans you can simply open the tilt flap for focused and efficient extraction.
The induction cooktop is easy to control via the central touch function and your dishes will be ready in no time thanks to the power mode. Two cooking zones are joined by a very special Wok induction element, ideal for those who love Asian cooking. The two induction cooking zones also offer several handy functions, such as residual heat indication, childproof lock and safety time switch, as well as an automatic flexzone allowing you to place your pans anywhere within the two zones.
The Novy Comfort is the ultimate hob for convenient cooking. It is ideal for responsive and flexible cooking, with zones of all different capacities and various sizes.
This 65cm induction hob features three round zones, two smaller and one large, offering even more cooking surface and default cooking programs such as residual heat indication and a keep warm function. Timers are also included, with a timer per zone and a minute minder available.

The octagonal zones come with a maximum power of 3700W and 5000W for the round zone, plus the flexzone function allows you to link two adjoining zones so they can be controlled in one movement.
