Finding a way to update the heart of your home can be tricky, so we want to lend you a helping hand. Switching seasons and making your kitchen feel fresh is the best way to bring your home and yourself to life.

Whilst not always the cheapest room in the home to update, with your requirements and a budget in mind, you can achieve a fresh and renewed space. Read on for some of the latest kitchen design trends for you to consider this spring…

Think Pink

Pink is fast becoming one of the most popular trends, creating a fun and cheerful feel. With the pink palette surprisingly varied, it is important to find the right shade to compliment your kitchen without overpowering.

Pink is versatile from a design perspective, and studies have suggested it also has a calming effect. It compliments a range of colours from navy blues to light greens, and whilst it may be an unexpected choice in a popular functional setting like the kitchen, it can suit a variety of décor styles.

Teaming pink with wooden tones, either in the form of cabinetry or flooring, adds an organic art deco touch without taking the shine away from either elements. You can also use the pink cabinets to break up a monochrome colour scheme within a room. This black Rangemaster Nexus stands out as a centrepiece, with the light pink and white tones, along with the wooden shelving and flooring, surrounding it and breaking up the dark tone of the cooker and hood.

This 90cm Rangemaster model has a sleek and highly modern appearance. This enhanced range cooker takes performance to another level with a versatile multifunction oven, which includes impressive specifications, and a spacious fanned second oven. On top there are five gas burners, including a powerful wok burner, all with cast iron pan supports. The Nexus also comes with an improved dual circuit electric grill, which offers even more cooking flexibility and capacity thanks to its new deeper pan design.

Adding warmth with metallic features is a great way of bringing a bold design choice into a kitchen. A soft, pastel pink teamed with brass is a winner in our eyes - warm and inviting but with a way of giving something classic a modern twist. This beautiful Lacanche Citeaux we have in our showroom does this perfectly. Possibly Lacanche’s most popular large format model, the Citeaux Classic is a superb triple oven range cooker. It features a large 65 litre oven with a storage drawer beneath, a tall 49 litre oven on the left and a tall 85 litre simmer oven on the right-hand side. The three-burner hob on top allows space for two optional integrated hob elements for an additional price, which in this case offers an additional two 3kW burners and an electric plancha.

Standout Tiles

Kitchen tiles are not only a practical choice but can also instantly transform the look of a kitchen. With a huge range of colours and patterns to choose from, you could use tiles for your floors, walls or even as a splashback for your cooker.

When making your decision, be sure to consider the existing features of your kitchen, whether this is the size of the space, the key design features and even the lighting as they will all have an impact on how they look. Tiles can be used as statement piece within their own right, and will only help your range cooker to stand out even more if being used as a splashback.

Adding colour and character to this kitchen, whilst giving a durable and easy to clean surface, these patterned tiles give a soft yet still vibrant alternative to wallpaper and paint. Acting as a splashback but also blending in with the room to create the rest of the wall, this idea is great for adding a pop of colour with white cabinetry and a white range cooker. The ILVE range cooker continues to stand out whilst being surrounded by neutral colours, with the addition of the patterned wall bringing out the shine in the chrome trim.

This twin cavity Roma 120 induction model combines powerful multifunction ovens with a sleek and sophisticated seven zone induction hob, putting high power, speed and instant control at your fingertips. ILVE’s E3 precision temperature control system combines a directional rotary control with the existing digital display to show the desired oven temperature in 5 degree increments – rather than relying on the standard printed digits on the control knobs. This cooker offers a wide choice of 15 oven functions including quick start rapid heat up and a pizza setting. The large multifunction oven on the left offers a capacity of 97 litres, whilst the second multifunction oven on the right offers a capacity of 43 litres.

Complementary Colours

Colour is one of the best ways of injecting personality into your kitchen. It is important to match the right colours together, however, and doing this means choosing tones that mix well whilst also being versatile to move with trend change.

Brown and blue is one colour combination we think works perfectly. The way this light brown wooden worktop brings the light to the darker blue cupboards helps to create a warmer feel to an otherwise dark aesthetic.

In a country or farmhouse style kitchen, the use of light wood around key features such as the range cooker and the feature windowed top cupboards creates focal points all around the room. Particularly in this kitchen with the dark top beams and black worktops, the light instantly hits the light blue cupboards below, making the room feel much brighter and welcoming.

This magnificent black range cooker is the Rangemaster Classic Deluxe 110. This impressive range gives you an upgraded multifunction main oven, offering eight different settings and Rapid Response – this gets the oven to temperature 30% faster than usual. The second oven in the top right is fanned and next to it on the left is a dedicated grill, which includes a glide out grill tray. The Deluxe 110 also features a proving drawer and an enhanced and very practical Multi-zone hob, with a cast aluminium griddle which removes to reveal two ceramic cooking zones beneath, all of which makes this an iconic traditional range cooker with all the ultra-modern cooking functionality you could need.

Concealed Furniture

Having doors that close away the kitchen when it is not in use, or hidden appliances such as cooker hoods and refrigerators, create the perfect multifunctional room.

A hidden cooker hood is perfect for those who do not want to make it a part of the design features within a kitchen. They are integrated either into a cabinet or underneath the cabinet and can be disguised any other wall cupboard. They are very simple to use and are ideal for completing a subtle and tidy look.

These hoods are seamless, compact and will not impact on your kitchen’s aesthetic. Under cabinet hoods can either include ducts that will transport the smoke and air out of the kitchen or without ducts that will recirculate the air back into the kitchen. The Faber In Light is a truly elegant and discrete integrated hood. For installation in a chimney breast or within an overhead unit the In-Light’s stunning contemporary, curved design really does look superb. There are clever features like a highly efficient Evo Diffuser blower to get the optimum balance of efficiency, silence, and power consumption (this hood is A-rated), and Perimeter Aspiration which exploits the Venturi effect to give 25% less perceived noise (equivalent to 3dB(A). Delayed switch-off, filter alarm and Faber’s Connection function (allowing you to operate the hood via compatible Faber hob controls) are there for daily convenience, and you can even set this hood to run in virtual silence for 24 hours a day if you like to keep your kitchen fresh.

‘Romcom’ Aesthetic

The ‘Romcom’ look was featured in Pinterest’s recent 2023 prediction report, with the trend taking over both the fashion and interior world’s. If you want to feel like you’re in your favourite romantic comedy, you can create a look in your kitchen that shows your personality and enhances that main character energy.

One way of achieving this look is through clustering. This method consists of putting our some of your most treasured items, or even just favourite books or photos, in the corners of your rooms to tell a story about you. In this beautiful modern kitchen, the use of fresh plants in one corner and books placed decoratively on a shelf creates a sophisticated look and brings attention to you and your kitchen as a whole. With the kitchen often being a popular space for entertaining, the features you include can be a real talking point.

The main talking point within this kitchen is of course the stunning Bertazzoni Professional range cooker in Carbonio, with the built in ovens to match. This 90cm single cavity model features a main electric oven, with 11 functions ranging from convection and grilling to fast-preheat. On top, you have the latest induction technology to give you ultimate power and controllability, and the added benefit of an easy-to-clean vitreoceramic surface, with five heating zones that include a booster feature, pot detection and residual heat indication for each zone. The new bridging function also allows you to use the two cooking zones on the right and left as one single cooking zone.
