The Kitchen, Bedrooms and Bathrooms Show 2024

Last week, our team at Rangecookers visited the KBB show at the NEC in Birmingham.

KBB Birmingham is Europe's leading Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom event, showcasing the latest innovative designs, solutions and products from top suppliers. This year was KBB's largest show in 10 years, with over 320 exhibitors displaying their newest designs.

Taking place from 3rd-6th March, there were a number of both recognised and new brands greeting visitors, including:

  • Samsung
  • Bocchi
  • Elica
  • Ca Pietra
  • AGA Rangemaster
  • ILVE
  • Caple

...plus many more!

In this blog post we want to take a look at the brands we know best, and with new trends beginning to surface we want to introduce you to some exciting new products plus some refreshing updates to the products we know and love...

ILVE

Located near the beautiful city of Venice, ILVE have been creating cooking appliances for over 60 years. Offering an impressive collection of both range cookers and built in appliances, these products are all handcrafted using the finest materials.

Bringing their products to Birmingham, plus hoods from fellow KitchenEx owned brand Faber, ILVE were out to shine with their eye-catching stand full of bright colours and sparkling appliances.

ILVE Majestic 90 Single Fry Top in RAL colour match

As you walked over to the stand, you couldn’t miss the colour changing ‘Live In Colour’ neon sign, immediately making you feel like you were entering a happy, holiday vibe. Below this was a stunning RAL colour matched Tiffany Blue 90cm Majestic, introducing you to the RAL colour match process.

ILVE models are available in a fantastic selection of colours, and with the Roma, Majestic and Milano models you can upgrade using their colour match service. Choose from over 200 RAL Classic colours for hundreds of range cooker possibilities, from pink to green to blue to orange to purple and more in between.

ILVE Milano 100 Induction in RAL colour match

This RAL matched pink Milano stood out beautifully surrounded by greenery and some lovely flowers to match. This cooker brings a traditional aesthetic, but the RAL pink brings a touch of modernity to the otherwise classic features.

On the other side was this magnificent RAL matched Roma. The combination of the colour matched cooker AND the colour matched cabinetry makes quite a spectacle, with the handles on the cabinet doors even closely resembling the controls of the Roma. The addition of the solid doors is something we don’t see enough from ILVE, just another customisable option from the brand to make sure the cooker really is exactly what you want.

ILVE Roma 100 Induction, solid door, in RAL colour match

The star of the show, however, was the all-new matt black Panoramagic 120 Induction. This brand new range cooker takes the futuristic style range cooker that we know and love and gives it a whole new identity with a sleek matt black facia. Available as an induction model only, this unique model brings stylish red LED-backlit controls and a full touch display screen, featuring ILVE’s unique E3 control to allow precise digital temperatures and more.

Rangemaster

KBB meant the launch of new, and refresh of old, products for Rangemaster. With a new, fully capitalised logo, it was hard to miss this stand with a brand-new look offering a much more contemporary feel to the brand.

Its latest additions, the Estel, Arina and Edge Deluxe, bring new styles plus a twist on some old ones. The Estel range cooker brings a more traditional style, with control knobs similar to those of the present Classic Deluxe models. Paired with the new colours (more about this in a minute) the Estel brings a more playful look, bringing a bit of personality to your kitchen.

(From left to right) Arina, Estel and Edge Deluxe

The Edge Deluxe offers a more contemporary style, with edgeless glass doors and brushed stainless steel facia controls. Available in 90cm, 100cm and 110cm widths, you can choose when it comes to the 110cm model which configuration would suit you best – offset ovens with a grill cavity and storage/proving drawer or both ovens arranged side by side with a grill and slow cook cavity above. This choice is something Rangemaster want to roll out to several models, creating a more personalised experience when deciding the model for you.

The Arina takes a combination of styles we have seen from Rangemaster, giving a similar style to the Elise with the corner detailing on the doors and taking a similar style control to the current Classic and Classic Deluxe models.

Alongside these new products are some brand new updates to the old. The Classic Deluxe is almost unrecognisable, with brand new controls and a selection of new colours adding a modern twist to this traditional range. The Nexus also has some brand-new controls and the new badge takes its place on the doors of each model instead of the facia panel. Some new colours were also launched, including:

  • Heather (a pastel lilac)
  • Cinnamon (a deep orangey/brown shade)
  • Misty Blue (a very light blue)
  • Bordeaux (a merlot/burgundy shade)

These products are expected to launch over the coming months so we will bring you more on this when they do!

Rayburn

For almost 100 years, an AGA Rayburn has been found nestled in the heart of many British homes providing a warm welcome to families throughout the generations. The Ranger, Rayburn's latest offering, continues to offer that same warmth to the latest generation of users keen to embrace the marque's traditional cast iron solidity and retro styling, but with even more of a focus on energy efficient cooking with it's three ovens, hotplate and induction hob.

Rayburn Ranger in Marmalade

At KBB, this Marmalade Rayburn stood out amongst the darker coloured AGA models surrounding it. Its bright colour is just one of the eight stunning colours that are available, ensuring there is a hue to sit comfortable in any kitchen environment. It was great to see another bright colour on display, just like the Tomato red one we have in our showroom.

Every Ranger comes with a sense of history built in with manufacture continuing at Rayburn’s factory in Telford, Shropshire. This electric range cooker requires no servicing, no plinth and no flue, making it a perfect choice for those looking for an AGA style cooker for an already existing kitchen or a brand new project.

Miro

For the team at Rangecookers.co.uk it was very exciting to be able to see Miro’s products showcased, as they are a new brand to our website.

Creda

Creda are back with new technology, new designs and a new approach.  Generations have grown up using Creda appliances, with them being a much-loved British brand with a history of over 100 years of manufacture.

Offering both traditional and contemporary styles, Creda’s products are not only affordable but aesthetically pleasing, looking at home in a range of kitchens. Their stand at KBB was full of built in appliances, washing machines and of course, range cookers.

On display was a selection of the models we offer, including a chance to see the sleek Anthracite finish. The controls were sturdy and comfortable to use, and the doors opened nicely to reveal some very spacious ovens. For such an affordable product, these range cookers stood proud alongside some of the higher priced brands.

Caple

Caple’s stand at KBB always stands out amongst the rest. In fact this year Caple actually won the “Best Kitchen Stand” award, rewarding the team for their design and innovation.

Throughout every section of the stand was a different theme, showing the variety of products they have created and how versatile these can be within different kitchen settings. The central tunnel section showcased the Caple studio and the surroundings featured 18 new products, expanding their portfolio further.

On display was the innovative Sense Premium integrated under counter wine cooler, showing how the door of your wine cooler can be perfectly matched to those of your cupboards and therefore creating a truly streamlined look within a kitchen.

…And it wasn’t just the Rangecookers team that were impressed by Caple’s stand as we caught renowned interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen taking a look round too!
