Bertazzoni

Family, food and engineering have always been a product the three pillars of Bertazzoni’s design and development of products, since 1882.

Founded by Francesco Bertazzoni in Guastalla, a town in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, this truly special brand has continued to evolve their technology and engineering to create a wide range of range cookers and other kitchen appliances.

A particular stand out element of their manufacturing process is the enamelling. Partnering with them, Bertazzoni have applied this unique finish and colours to their appliances, with highly-skilled craftsmen applying multiple layers of colour by hand.

France

French range cookers are highly regarded for their attention to detail and culinary heritage. They are known for exuding a classic charm and elegance, featuring high-performance components and customisable configurations that are used in some of the world’s best commercial kitchens.

Lacanche

Back in the 15th century, a foundry was established in the village of Lacanche, France, by the Duke of Burgundy. A few years after the French revolution, in 1796, Jacques-Etienne Caumatin began to manufacture cast iron range cookers for the growing restaurant and hotel markets.

200 years on and the factory is still independent, and family owned. The majority of the components for a Lacanche range cooker are produced at the factory, from the oven cavities to the enamelled finishes. Some components that are manufactured by partners are designed by Lacanche and sourced as locally as possible, such as the brass burner caps, which are designed by Lacanche and then sent to be manufactured only two hours from the factory.

United Kingdom

The UK also boasts a thriving range cooker manufacturing industry. Companies like AGA, Rangemaster and Stoves have long-standing reputations for producing quality range cookers, often exhibiting a timeless design, embodying a perfect blend of heritage and modern innovations.

Rangemaster, Mercury, Falcon, AGA

AGA Rangemaster Group Ltd. is a British manufacturer of range cookers, kitchen appliances and interior furnishings, based in Leamington Spa in England.

The group owns a number of brands, including Rangemaster, AGA, Falcon, Mercury and Rayburn. The original Rangemaster range cooker, the Kitchener, was invented in 1830 and built at the same site in Leamington Spa in which they are still designing and manufacturing the Rangemaster collection today.

Rayburn

For over 75 years, the iconic Rayburn by AGA has been the warm heart of many British homes.

Each AGA Rayburn is steeped in history. These range cookers are designed by engineers with years of experience and built by craftsmen on the same site in Telford, Shropshire, that Abraham Darby once discovered the casting process started the Industrial Revolution.

Build from solid cast iron, each is made with keen attention to detail, from the skilled casting of the molten iron to the multiple coats of gloss, shining vitreous enamel.

Building on their classic designs and proud heritage, Rayburn’s today are made from 70% recycled materials which makes them a great choice along with sleek, forward-thinking technology.

Stoves and Belling

Stoves and Belling are both part of the Glen Dimplex Home Appliances family, with their factory based in Prescot, Merseyside. Stoves relocated from Warrington to its current manufacturing facility in Rainhill, Prescot, in 1925. A former World War I munitions site, the new larger premises allowed Stoves to apply its manufacturing expertise and access to quality materials to cookers.

For over a century Belling has brought innovative ideas to people’s homes. In a time when less than 10% of the UK owned their own homes, Charles Belling passionately believed in innovative products that were accessible to all households.

Belling wasn’t acquired by Glen Dimplex group until 1992, committing to return production of its products to the UK.
